Welcome to the quiz on scale degrees 1, 2, and 3. Here's how it works. Play the audio file and type in the pitches you hear using scale degrees 1, 2, and 3. Don't put any spaces for your answer. So, your answer may look like this: 12323, but not this: 1 2 3 2 3.
Some of these examples are played on the piano, and some will be actual songs. For the songs, each new word or syllable with a space in-between should be a number. For example, if the words are “A ma zing just the way you are”, there will be 8 numbers corresponding to each syllable.
The actual songs will be challenging. Do whatever it takes to figure them out. Use the hints, try playing it on your piano, sing it, and slow it down if necessary. It's going to be a challenge, but I think you're up for it!
If you're still having trouble, no problem! I made a video on using “Clues” to narrow down the notes and help you more easily figure them out. Some of the clues may not make sense yet, but you'll learn them all as you go through the program.
